Despite signing a new contract with Napoli in December, Osimhen is set to leave the club at the end of the season, with a release clause worth approximately £113 million.
While PSG, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all shown interest, Osimhen seems inclined towards a move to the Premier League over a return to Ligue 1.
To facilitate a potential deal, Napoli is in talks with Chelsea, exploring the possibility of a cash-plus-player transfer that could involve Romelu Lukaku moving to Napoli alongside a significant fee for Osimhen. Osimhen appears more enthusiastic about joining an English top-flight team rather than returning to the Ligue 1 champions.
Since his move from Lille to Napoli in 2020, Osimhen has made a significant impact, scoring 76 goals in 131 games and helping Napoli secure Serie A glory in the 2022-23 season, their first league title in 33 years.
As transfer negotiations continue, Osimhen’s focus remains on Napoli’s upcoming Serie A fixtures against Bologna, Fiorentina, and Lecce on May 14, 19, and 26, respectively.
